#1 A Million Years and Still Carving by Ron Gibbs Nice diagonal flow with nice texture in stone, somewhat of an abstract. Perhaps a bit busy and a little weak on impact-10+11+12=33
#2 Concentrated Beauty Drop by Ron Gibbs The soft colors, sharp rose, and distorted reflection lead to good impact . Perhaps a little busy, and dark right side could be cropped-12+13+13=38
#3 Cypress Tree Reflections by Kathy Winiger Tough contrasty shot but with nice composition and good use of reflections. Too dark on the edge and bottom, too bright on top right trees-10+11+11=32
#4 Daisy Drops by Joe Colavita Good focus, colors and placement. Perhaps a little weak on the impact side-11+12+12=35

#5 Driftwood by Maris Engle Widest range of opinions. Some liked going from silhouette to interesting texture on the wood, the soft water (from slow shutter speed) and the nice gold accent area. Some thought it a little too soft, and wanted the left side cropped off a little-12+12+14=38
#6 Kissing My Shadow by Ken Barrett The central subject matter was nice with good focus on the bird and action. Most wanted a tighter crop to eliminate left and right side distractions. The harsh light was a little disturbing, and some wanted a greater depth of field around the main subject-11+12+13=36
#7 Lake Mead Sunset by Laura Lansford Some thought this sunset was nice, some thought the timing was a little off as the sky was a bit dull. The tilted horizon also was a weak point-11+11+12=34
#8 Lake Norman by Jim McClanaham Nice water patterns in the foreground. However, the harsh light and lack of a center of interest gave this a weak impact. Perhaps zooming in more on the shore and losing much of the foreground would help-10+10+11=31

#9 Morning Drops by Joe Colavita Nice solid image with good flowing diagonal lines, good color and focus, an almost surreal look to it-12+13+13=38
#10 Porch on Charles St. by Glenn Derosa This image had low impact, but the major drawback was its lack of addressing the assigned topic of water-10+11+11=32
#11 Reflection of Autumn by Maris Engle Nice fall colors and reflections. Most had some problems with the left rock and/or the right rock/ and or the center rocks. Perhaps crop off the bottom a little-11+12+12=35
#12 Rock Creek by Jim McClanaham The composition is nice in the image. The lighting hurts the image the most-it had a yellow/green cast to it with harsh bright spots on the rocks and water-10+10+11=31

#13 Shutters by Glenn Derosa Some had a problem with the color on the wood but most again had a problem with this image addressing the assigned topic-10+11+11=32
#14 Still Waters by Ken Barrett A well composed image with good reflections and separation of bow and trees. Some wanted a little darker sky, and some didn't see the need to include the prow of the boat-11+12+14=37
#15 Water Reflections #28 by Marilyn Frenkel Nice colors and focus. The static nature of the image along with lots of empty space hurt the impact. Perhaps zooming in and using side lighting would help-10+10+10=30
#16 Water Reflections #31 by Marilyn Fienkel The chopsticks eliminated some of the empty space and added mystery, but still what was a problem in #15 still applied here-10+11+11=32

#17 Whale and Friends by Laura Lansford Interesting Aquarium image with small bright green fish adding some interest. The shark's tail was cut off a little, the focus a little soft, the upper left bight area a little distracting as was the reflection on the shark's body-10+11+11=32
